The Opportunity:
In this Permanent role as a Test Lead, you will be responsible for leading the testing activities and provide support in designing following test deliverables - Test Plan, Test Approach, Test Summary report.
You will report to the Technology Portfolio Manager and working with other Test Leads to ensure that the necessary testing resources (manual and automation resources) and skill sets are available and allocated based on estimated test effort.
To do this successfully you will:
- Lead End to End software testing activities on assigned project / portfolio
- Prepare and maintain testing documentation – Test Plan, Test Summary Report, Daily Status Report
- Define automation scope and automation test estimates
- Estimate manual test effort and request test resources
- Design/review test cases, test data and test scenarios
- Perform Test execution
- Defect Management
- Ensure all testing operating environments and tools are ‘fit for purpose’ and they accurately reflect production environments.
- Contribute to the on-going development of the testing discipline and methodology by developing knowledge of testing tools and methodology and remaining on the forefront of emerging industry practices
- Quality Reporting & Governance
Successful applications will demonstrate:
- Experience as Test Lead/Manager and people management skills
- Experience handling complex testing challenges
- Experience producing test documentation including (but not limited to) Master Test Plans, Detailed Test Plans, Test Summary Reports, Test Incident (Defect) Reports, Test Cases, Test Scenarios, Test Conditions, Traceability Matrices, etc
- Experience with different testing types e.g. Automation, Performance, System, System Integration, Regression and End to End.
- Technical Skills and Methodologies:
- Methodologies – Agile (Scrum), Lean Waterfall
- Databases – DB2, AS400 or equivalent
- Programming Language – Java, JavaScript (desirable)
- Test Management tool - Jira, PractiTest or equivalent, Confluence
- Microsoft office suite
- Automation Tools – Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, Soap UI, TestNG, HP Load runner SVN, Jenkins (desirable)
- Knowledge of all aspects of the SDLC (analysis, development, testing) and how testing interacts in this process
- ISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent (ideal)
