Job Description

Key Responsibilities

The Performance Test Lead will work with internal IT customers to collect and understand manual, automated, and performance test requirements, then convert these requirements into test plans and track deliverables to completion. Responsible for planning, coordination, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks, execution, and continuous improvement of the Performance Test lifecycle. Leverage QA/performance standards and apply best practices across various internal and enterprise applications while utilizing and leading global teams. The Performance Test Lead will drive quality initiatives across IT, proliferate QA methodologies, and ensure that governance mechanisms are in place to drive adoption. In addition, the Performance Test Lead will:

  • Support full cycle integration and disaster recovery efforts across on-premise and cloud infrastructures.  
  • Participate in new technology evaluations for testing, test automation, and process management. 
  • Manage large environments with complex configurations, and several software components, ensuring versioning and patching aligned with current compatibility matrices.
  • Participate in evaluation and recommendation of patches, point releases, major upgrades, and new systems.
  • Supervise work of on and off-shore resources.
    • Perform Quality/peer reviews of their work product or create an equivalent methodology to ensure quality standards.
  • Perform project management duties, project scoping, budget and resource planning.
  • Determine workload models and demographics Establish cross-platform system monitoring strategies to capture and analyze full-stack performance, evaluate capabilities, and report anomalies through a predefined process.
  • Complete root cause analysis of outages or incident trends (often working with managed services partner). 
  • Adhere to service management processes and procedures to meet customer service level agreements and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Recommend preventative actions, Plan and manage projects to ensure effective and efficient execution in line with established processes and guidelines and guardrails of scope, timeline, budget, and quality
  • Mentor and train team members in product functionality, development, and testing guidelines, tools, and methodologies 

Functional Knowledge

  • Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in the software development lifecycle, lifecycle management, QA, Test Automation and Performance Test disciplines.
  • Experience not limited to NeoLoad, Worksoft, MicroFocus Performance Center, MF-ALM, MF-UFT, Jenkins, JIRA, ElasticSearch, APM & monitoring strategies and tool integrations with expansive knowledge of QA related approaches.
  • Strong technical performance testing experience required including script development and debugging, scenario design with integrations, execution and analysis through problem identification and resolution. Be able to provide root cause analysis for problems found.
