Eaton’s expanding eMobility Division is currently seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team in Tczew, Poland. This position will work with automotive low voltage and high voltage EV products. Relocation and Sponsorship is not available for this role. We make the electric revolution work. Position Overview: The Engineering Test Technician is responsible for performing electrical and mechanical testing on engineering prototypes and production samples under the guidance of the master technician, project/test engineer or lab manager. Provide lab support including designing and building test systems for new eMobility products. In this role, you will follow test plans, perform tests, record data, and complete written test reports. Performs functions as necessary to support all product development and maintenance activities. Review assigned project with the master technician, project/test engineer, lab manager to reach an understanding of the test program to be followed, take responsibility for its execution, record and report the results. Work with engineers to help write procedures to execute assembly, testing and/or verifying product. Follow pre-written instructional procedures to execute assembly, testing and/or verifying product. Interpret test results with the help of the team during testing and clearly communicate progress and conclusions to the project or test engineer either verbally or in writing. Learn to be able to detect unexpected results during testing and perform root cause analysis with team involvement. Assist in the assembly and organization of test setups and test fixtures. Assist with the construction of test fixtures as required to perform necessary functional and environmental tests. Additional lab processes, team projects, working under deadlines, and research into new concepts will be part of this role. Qualifications Qualifications Basic Qualifications: High school diploma with experience in electrical, testing, and/or engineering environment OR associate degree/equivalent with 2 years of experiences OR a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. English proficiency must allow to communicate freely. Must be authorized to work in Poland without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an engineering test lab and product development. Electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, soldering and computer aptitude or related technical experience. Use of electronic test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, DMM, Oscilloscopes, etc. Experience working in a power electronics laboratory building, developing, and testing new products. Preferred experience with controls, software development, test automation, or test equipment design/development preferred. Experience with troubleshooting test equipment and test systems. Position Criteria: Ability to use CAD program for fixture design and development.
