Main responsibilities (power tools, garden equipment, garden pumps, power generators, inverter welders, hand tools, company has 20 000 SKU):
1. Audit Suppliers in order to evaluate if suitable for our targets in terms of: Quality, Technical Specification, Performance, Price and Reliability.
Analyse critically Audits results in order to give a risk assessment.
In a proactive way, where there is a remarkable Customer Oriented approach by the supplier, collaborate in giving guide line and Actions to improve and get them suitable for the company. To extend Company Supplier portfolio is a target as well.
Audits Suppliers to monitor the whole production process, starting from incoming controls on raw material and components, across machining process, assembly process, testing, final inspection, packing, shipment up to delivery with a Handling FMEA to minimize damaging goods risk during transportation.
Work closely to Suppliers has to be an attitude in order to look for a Continues Improvement with a proactive approach, looking and analysing rejection statistical data coming from the market and implementing preventive action to avoid new and old problems.
2. Set up appropriate tests procedure and identify Fit and Functional characteristics to be measured. Find out threshold limits for main dimension/physical characteristics based on experimental method and available data.
Look at existing test procedure with critical approach and improve them to better identify potential goods weak point.
Decide for Sampling dimension for testing in order to be statistically representative.
Perform User/Work test are part of direct responsibility.
3. Set up Product Technical Requirement
4. Set up Technical Comparison Analysis between similar product and apply Decisional Matrix
5. Develop inspection protocols in a close collaboration with Quality department, taking the responsibility of coaching.
6. Work closely with purchase team, Quality Engineer Team for a Cost & Benefit analyses every time a decision has to be token between different possibility.
