• Responsible for thermal design, simulation analysis and test validation for various electronic product , server/storage product thermal design experience is preferred
• Design robust thermal solutions to meet product specifications, and cooperate with Software team to implement fan speed control strategy.
• Provide thermal simulation analysis from Board to system chassis level to verify thermal feasibility/risk.
• Document thermal test plan and perform thermal, air flow/impedance, acoustic measurements.
• Interface with a multi-disciplinary group to define system requirements, and design products. Experience in working in medium sized multidisciplinary development teams.
• Interface with heat sink and air mover vendors to keep up to manage cost, quality and functionality.
• Work with function team to identify route cause of system failure

• Candidates should have 6+ years experience in thermal design/simulation/test validation, possibly well versed in server/storage, Switch designs. Candidates should have the following essential qualifications and experience:

• BS or above in Thermodynamic Engineering

• Knowledge about Mechanical design tool such as Pro/E considered as a plus

• Strong user of Flotherm CFD analysis tool.

• Knowledge of server/storage/switch system architecture is a plus

• Familiarity with NEBS, GR-63, ETSI300, ETS753,etc standard

• Familiar with thermal measurement technology and test tools such as temperature data logger, IR camera, air chamber, air speed meter etc.

• Be able to communicate effectively [in English] with members of other teams, departments and clients; as a high degree of liaison is needed.

• Good interpersonal skills: Comfortable with technical report writing.

• Details orientated.

• Personal interest to drive issues to root cause, logical problem solving.

• Task independence. Ability to aggressively drive tasks independently and to seek out information internally, externally.
