Job Description

In this Assembly and Test Technology Development (ATTD) position you will conceive, architect, design, and lead the development of thermal numerical tools and solutions in support of package and silicon thermal design and architecture.

  • Responsible for pathfinding and providing the technical direction for thermal software development and validation against experimental results.
  • You will engage with internal/external engineering partners on technical requirements/discussions and interacts with technologists across Intel, and within the industry, to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.
  • Examples of tools/systems include thermal scripting tools, finite element and finite difference numerical methods, development of thermal plug-ins for both internal and external tools.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess a master's degree or PhD degree with 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Heat transfer/fluid dynamics

Preferred Qualifications

6+ years of experience with one or more of the following:

  • Heat transfer and fluid dynamics fundamentals to thesis/research work
  • Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) numerical techniques with application toward thermal and fluid flow modeling such as finite volume/difference/element approaches or validation of numerical tools with measurements expertise required in the thermal/fluid flow analysis.
  • MATLAB/MathCA
