As a THINKEDGE Technology Specialist (Presales) for Lenovo, you will be
responsible for owning the THINKEDGE Go to market strategy for EMEA, in direct
relationship with our teams in North America and China.
What other responsibilities will you have?
•Provide pre-sales technical support to Lenovo sales, local technical teams
and authorized Business Partners across EMEA;
•Cover all aspects of technical support required to prepare a proposal
including hardware and software (3rd parties or Lenovo own software) and
answering RFP/RFI's
•Provide advice and guidance on the solution and technical aspects of the
products involved including positioning against competition. Able to identify
and recommend when the customer should engage solutions assurance and provide
advice on risk assessment on the bid.
•Present face to face to clients on THINKEDGE Technical capabilities/roadmaps
at events/workshops/briefings.
•Have responsibility for guidance, recommendation and partnership management
with key vendors in the market, able to offer software, accessories or
services, in order to offer a complete solution to Lenovo’s customers.
You will report to the EMEA OEM Director.
This position will require travel, estimated at 50%.
Ideally you should be located either in Benelux, France, Germany, Nordics, UKI
or Italy.
#### Position Requirements:
•Minimum 3 years’ experience in a pre-sales technical support or technical
support role in the Smart Edge industry
•Proficient in being able to sell the value of Smart Edge solutions
•Knowledge of collaboration tools available in the market, hardware and
software
•Understanding of Competition, e.g. Kontron, Advantech, Dell, HP, Supermicro,
etc
•Knowledge of the back-end requirements and installation steps needed for an
Smart Edge solution
•Fluency in English
