Job Description

As our New Business Development Manager, you will lead building a sales pipeline for the most innovative, next-gen lithium products in e-mobility. You will explore new markets and uncover unmet needs, translating customer challenges into commercial opportunities. You collaborate actively with multiple functions and teams (both internal and external), leading our engagement with customers to make sure we accelerate their innovation. You are focused on delivering results and enhancing our work environment with your passion, drive, and sense of collaboration.

Location: Remote work is a possibility (USA based)

Responsibilities

  • Business development:

    • Develop & maintain long-term relationships w/ key accounts, securing new business in target markets, and building a multi-year pipeline for new lithium products

    • Be the voice of the customer for internal discussions as well as our voice with the customer

  • Market stewardship:

    • Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in battery / e-mobility to understand and promote new solutions

    • Actively validate market appetite & forecasts w/ key accounts, at targeted tradeshows, etc.

    • Define customer segments and go-to-market strategies

  • Sales:

    • Track all sales activity fully utilizing SFDC, including account management plans, status reports, etc.

    • Collaborate actively with global functions linked to new product development efforts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Technical / material science background highly desirable

  • 7+  years of sales or customer-facing experience in technology / specialty materials industry. Battery / e-mobility industry highly desirable

  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as ability to listen attentively and distill key insights

  • Track record of leading by influence to achieve stretch sales targets while strengthening team collaboration

  • Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environment

Additional information

  • Ability to travel (domestic & international) ~50%
