Toddler Class Teacher - Kindergarten
Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Class Teacher to join our kindergarten team. The ideal candidate will create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for children aged 18 - 36 months, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play - based learning and nurturing interactions.

Key Responsibilities
1. Classroom Management & Environment
Design and maintain a clean, organized, and age - appropriate classroom layout that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence. Set up learning centers (e.g., sensory, pretend play, reading) to support various developmental domains.
Ensure all classroom materials and equipment are safe, well - maintained, and aligned with toddler developmental needs.

2. Curriculum & Instruction
Implement a play - based curriculum tailored to toddlers, focusing on early literacy, numeracy, motor skills, social skills, and self - help abilities. Plan daily activities such as circle time, storytime, music & movement, art, and outdoor play.
Observe each child’s progress, document milestones, and use assessment data to individualize instruction and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs.

3. Child Interaction & Guidance
Build positive, trusting relationships with toddlers, providing comfort, encouragement, and gentle guidance. Foster social skills like sharing, taking turns, and simple communication among peers.
Address challenging behaviors with patience and positive discipline strategies, collaborating with parents and support staff when needed to promote positive behavior change.

4. Parent Communication & Collaboration
Maintain open and regular communication with parents/guardians. Conduct daily or weekly updates (e.g., verbal check - ins, digital newsletters, progress reports) to share insights into their child’s day, development, and any concerns.
Organize parent - teacher conferences and participate in kindergarten - wide family engagement events (e.g., parent workshops, holiday celebrations) to strengthen home - school partnerships.

5. Health & Safety Compliance
Monitor children’s health during the day, administering basic first aid as needed and following kindergarten protocols for illness, allergies, and emergencies.
Ensure adherence to all local, state, and school safety regulations, including proper supervision during indoor and outdoor activities, and maintaining accurate attendance and health records.

Qualifications
Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Valid teaching certification for toddler/early childhood education (e.g., CDA, state - specific early childhood credential) preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or kindergarten setting.(MUST, need reference letter.)
Skills:
Deep understanding of toddler development (social, emotional, cognitive, physical) and best practices in early childhood education.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with young children, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, creativity, and flexibility to manage the dynamic needs of a toddler classroom.
Proficiency in using basic educational technology (e.g., for lesson planning, communication with parents) is a plus.
