Job Description
Eaton’s CRDS is currently seeking a Tool Room Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Juarez Facility. The Tool Room Supervisor is responsible for supervise and coordinate all the tool room activities and personnel that will be providing tooling support to injection molding, punch press and lightspeed operations. Some activities related with the position will be: Liaison between production supervisor and tool room technicians for priorities for production. This person will be responsible to have tools ready for when production needs them. Follow up to tooling preventive maintenance and corrective actions. This person administration will ensure that all preventive and corrective activities are executed on time and with the expected quality Tool room technician’s administration (shifts, vacations, payroll). This person will be responsible of evaluating weakness and strengths of the different technicians and perform the mix of talent per shift so that the tool room service is always supported by the best talent available Participate in implementation of projects that positively impact quality, cost and/or cycle time. This person knowledge of tools and processes must be the input to propose solutions that are technically possible and that will yield in effective problem solving Tool room administration (priorities for repair, priorities for production support, tools sourcing, spare parts request). This person must be capable of providing key information of the tool room such as status of a repair, expected completion time, monthly needs for spare parts, purchase orders for tool room needs Provide technical support to injection molding, stamping, lightspeed and assembly lines when a need for machined parts arises. This person will be able to provide technical solutions that will solve complex problems Maintain updated technical information for tools (injection molds, stamping dies, punches). This person will be responsible to keep updated the records of the tools in case that a change is needed #LI-DS1 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical or equivalent engineering degree or background Metal working processes knowledge (surface grinding, milling, lathe, CNC machining, wire and sinker EDM) Time Management MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, word, outlook, teams) People management.
