Golf Pride is a world leader in golf grips.  Golf Pride develops and manufactures golf grips for Retail and OEM customers. As a member of the site leadership team, the primary responsibility of the person in this position will supervise material development in the Tainan, Taiwan development team. The Taiwan Materials Supervisor will be responsible to lead a team developing rubber compound formulations, strategic material technology development, and continuously improving material science know how and technology to support product development.

 

Primary function of this role,

Take lead in new tooling verification task from test arrangement, tooling set up, molding check, grip spec examination, and verification report preparation. Lead the tooling inspection work for verifying tooling conformance to drawing specs. Support tooling day to day maintenance task. Take lead in NPD tooling development from design stage to mass production and do the trouble shooting of tooling issues. Introduce new tooling concept or new fabrication process of tooling.

 

Job Responsibilities,

50. Structure and lead the tooling verification task following project schedule.
50. Cooperate with process team engineer for molding/finishing process schedule planning and collaborates with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance to execute mold verification test.
50. Manage tooling verification report and monitor the verification status within time constraint.
50. Tooling verification samples spec test.
50. Lead tooling development from design/processability point of view to mass production.
50. Support Global Engineering Standards including Enovia Global Knowledge Base, Enovia Change Management procedures, and transfer of material and process data from Enovia to MfgPro to the shop floor.
50. Manage global tooling design standard and tooling MOC process.

Qualifications

Requirement:

50. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or Materials Science from an accredited institution. Master or PhD. is preferred.
50. Team Leader or people managing role (3+ years)
50. Intermesh (2+ year), ISO color matching experience (Plus to have).
50. Formulating rubber compounds / colors compounds (3+ years)
50. Developing standard rubber compounds for multiple locations. (3+ years)
50. Project Management, 8D problem solving. DOE. Six Sigma. (Plus to have)
50. Expertise of polymeric materials properties (chemical to physical properties relationships)
50. Expertise of rubber mixing, calendaring, and molding.
50. Expertise with Kneader (Tangential and Intermesh) mixing.
