Job Responsibilities:

• Independently manage tooling development at China based DC and work closely with HQ and offshore factory.

• Provide technical solutions and manufacturability feedback on mold design or processes during development process.

• Support engineering and category teams during product commercialization by providing technical expertise regarding mold construction and processes.

• Drive functional agenda at local level and collaborate with extended engineering teams and categories.

• Assist in the development of tooling best practices and actively monitor implementation.

• Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.

• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other staff members.

• Support manufacturing with production trouble shooting.

• Communicate effectively internal and external with factories and Converse collaborators.

• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.

Requirements:

• 10 years’ experience in footwear tooling industry of complex injection molds, compression molds.

• Work experience in a mold shop is a plus.

• Able to communicate well both in English and Chinese.

• Excellent communication skill set.

• Function effectively in a fast paced, multi project environment with extensive expert use of machining principles including accepted shop practices, methods, standards and techniques relating to design, machining, tooling, fixtures and prototype part production.

• Open mind, creative thinking and contribute good ideas.

• Travel is needed inside and outside of China.
