Candidate will support/ lead further development Total Productive Maintenance initiatives within the department.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

• Work with equipment OEMs, Technology Specialists and Equipment Service Associates to identify best practice maintenance tasks for each equipment type.
• Using Single Minute Change of Die philosophy, streamline maintenance tasks to the most efficient method.
• Improve and expand departmental maintenance strategy.
• Determine methods by which to reduce the non-production requirement for Preventative Maintenance as opposed to runtime. 
• Develop training for maintenance activities.
• Develop Equipment Maintenance Plan for each TX-24 production system.
• Conduct SMED workshops/ simulations to determine the most efficient methods and standard times.
• Implement visual management system for area maintenance requirements.

• Candidate should be in pursuit of an Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree.
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
• Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
• Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
• MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. 
• Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. 
• THE WORK TERM DATES ARE (01/03/2022 - 05/06/2022).
