Due to the continued expansion of our banking activities, we are looking for a:

Transaction Banking Officer

(Transaction Banking Department)

Job purpose:

-          To be responsible for transaction banking business development and KPI’s Achievement.

-          Transaction banking product line support for other relationship departments of BOC Luxembourg Branch and Sub-branches.

Responsibilities would be, but not be limited to, the following:

-          To be responsible for transaction banking business development and KPI’s Achievement.

-          Transaction banking product line support for other relationship departments of BOC Luxembourg Branch and Sub-branches.

-          Responsible for the result of the transaction banking business performance.

-          Takes part in the Bank’s relationship marketing activities with target corporate customers and FI customers, present and sell the Bank’s transaction banking related products and services.

-          Negotiates terms and conditions with customers of the targeted transactions pursuant to the Bank’s business strategy.

-          Liaises with in-house or external lawyer to complete related documentation process.

-          Ensures the regulatory requirements are met by the department and the bank.

-          Monitors the documents and cash flows related to the transaction banking business and implements post lending management to mitigate market risk or credit risk.

-          Works with members of internal departments and external parties by producing reporting statistics and analysis, as well as reviews transaction banking products and various tasks associated with transaction banking business.

-          Provide training lectures of Transaction Banking to Branch and Sub-branches.

-          Liaises with BOC Head Office’s and domestic network’s staff to support the development of business for BOC Luxembourg and the BOC Group’s existing and target clients.

-          Related operation of internal banking system for transaction business products.

-          Updates and maintains accurate business files.

-          Develops the Bank’s market competitiveness in the transaction banking area.

-          Other relevant tasks assigned by the department and the bank.

Qualifications

Profile (Technical Skills):

  • In-depth knowledge of bank industry, familiar with cross functional products.
  • Highly organized and detail orientated with a client focus. Deal making driven.
  • Committed, confident, determined, self-motivated, strong analytical and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance and/or Economics.

Experience:

3 years+ in trade finance or transaction banking business, related marketing experience in Supply Chain Finance or ECA covered finance will be plus advantage.

Language skills:

Fluency in English is essential; other languages will be an advantage.
