Job Description

Key Responsibility

The Trade Manager – South America is responsible for building and leading the companies activities in that region.
This includes the overall organization in China.
The job involves negotiating rates, developing business and support group members in China/Hong Kong.

  • Work out a procurement strategy and negotiate freight rates with the carriers.
  • Grow strategic overseas partners and coordinate the pricing activities.
  • Support area organizations in China with their procurement activities.
  • Promote the company brand and its services.
  • Handle daily enquiries and ad hoc projects.
  • Provide training, coaching, lead and motivate the group members in China/Hong Kong.
  • Work out volume targets for the whole group and ensure that targets are met.
  • Support the organization in delivering outstanding customer service.

Requirements/ Qualifications:
  • University graduate.
  • Location: Shanghai or Hongkong Occasional traveling required.
  • At least 5 years working experience in a similar position within the freight forwarding industry.
  • Commercial experience required.
  • Experience in working together with overseas freight forwarders.
  • Fluent in English. Ability to speak in Mandarin/Spanish preferred.
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills, verbally and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure and cope with challenge.
  • Willingness to develop business and not wait for business.
