THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Trainee Technician you will be exposed to a broad range of electrical power projects in the infrastructure and tunnelling sectors, designed to enhance your learning experience under the guidance and support of our high-quality engineers. This is a hands-on Trainee position, where you will be provided with mentoring and technical support across a range of exciting projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will translate and develop key concepts learnt through your electrical tertiary education into real-world solutions, with a key focus on learning, efficiency, cost control and quality. You will be mentored by Ampcontrol's talented engineers and be involved with the technical aspects of the design, manufacturing and service components of the business. You will gain exposure to:

• performing and documenting testing, commissioning and training on products and systems;
• the coordination of design issues, ensuring budget, quality, specification and legislative requirements are achieved;
• the development of existing and new products, systems and standards;
• project coordination and reporting;
• site activities for technical support and commissioning.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

In addition to a strong desire to learn in a hands-on environment, you will:

• be completing a Degree level qualification in Engineering;
• have demonstrated experience in design and calculations;
• be interested in electrical, electronic manufacturing, design and/or service of equipment;
• relevant industrial and/or field service work placement experience (desirable).
