Main Purpose of Job

You will be part of a translation team, working closely with various-aged professional translators, a supportive Translation Line Manager and foreign colleagues under international environment. You will be learnt and grown up in translation & project administrative career line, by being responsible for delivering translations of the highest quality and accuracy on time.

As a translator you will …

• Learn, understand and then follow SDL’s linguistic processes and procedures, the translation tools, and the specific processes of each client.
• Provide full linguistic process and procedures as follows;
  • Produce high quality Translations of general and texts in the Retail Marketing Business and Technical fields from English into Thai within given deadlines.
  • Manage terminology effectively
  • Do linguistic checking of Desktop Publishing output, if necessary.
  • Do linguistic testing of software, help and websites, if necessary.
  • Do proofreading of documents, if necessary.
  • Provide linguistic support
• Have opportunity to act as Lead translator to ensure a better communication and planning of the linguistic aspects of one or several accounts.

As a Project Admin you will …

• Administer various Asian language projects by liaising with project managers and freelance translators.
• Outsource jobs to, and communicate with, Asian language resources to ensure highest translation quality and on time deliveries.

Essential requirements

• Be a Thai native only.
• Possess degree in translation or any other relevant combination of training and experience.
• Possess translation experience of 0 to 3 years in the Retail Marketing Business and Technical field (marketing content - webs or brochures, e-Commerce, IT, user manuals of various fields, etc.).
• Possess Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Be a collaborative team player.
