Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions Group is currently seeking a 1st Shift Training Coordinator to join our team. This position is based at our Sherman, TX Facility. Position offers a starting rate between $22.69 - $24.21/hour plus DAY ONE Benefits. Position Overview: The Training Coordinator role is primarily focused on the successful onboarding, development, and preparation of employees to effectively become a member of the Sherman, TX team. The Training Coordinator will develop sustainable programs and processes that enhance employees’ skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work. The Training Coordinator will utilize a continuous improvement mindset to incorporate new processes and technologies to drive improvement to the plant’s employee engagement, as well as Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics. In this function, you will: Create and maintain training calendars, schedules, and proactively engage the organization in developing consistent skill and talent development programs Create and foster relationships with external high schools, technical schools, community, government, and nonprofit agencies and universities. Work with each value stream manager to ensure adoption & consistent implementation of on-boarding & training programs. Create process for trainer selection and skill development for trainers to improve communication skills and effectiveness. Manage the record keeping requirements for training per the Quality Management System utilizing electronic means. Work closely with the Quality and HR teams to identify new training opportunities and areas for improvement in the training process. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Sherman, TX will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, or related fields Three years of work in a Training Development/Coordination role in manufacturing plant Track record in designing and executing successful training programs Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, video-based training, virtual simulations, etc.) Eaton considers qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with local laws.
