Position Overview: The Training Coordinator & Administrative Assistant will directly assist the HR Manager and the Plant Manager of the Reno, NV facility in the development, implementation and administration of HR policies and programs to support the business objectives of the manufacturing facilities. This role provides the effective administration of recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits, and other HR processes. This role is also responsible for assisting with the implementation of policies and procedures as well as driving continuous improvement efforts within the function. In this function you will: Provide front-line customer service as the front desk receptionist (welcome/direct visitors, answer phones, maintain the reception area, & etc.). Serve as a liaison for the hourly workforce & visitors at the facility (answer/direct inquiries, create/deactivate badges, assisting employees with computer tasks, IT, JOE access, reports & etc.) Assist with HR activities such as recruitment (coordinating interviews & candidate follow up), orientation (coordinate, facilitate and documentation), time and attendance audits Strengthen employee retention and engagement through project work, event planning & supporting the employee engagement committee. Assist with training activities such as scheduling meeting rooms for compliance/regular trainings, organizing and submitting training records, etc. Manage and update communication bulletin boards / notifications, HR files, and discipline tracking process for the plant. Support site-wide communications (updating boards, flyers, presentations, reports, etc.) Receive, track, and submit employee reimbursement receipts (PPE) to compile weekly SPR (Special Payment Request) form for HRM to review & submit. Responsible for coordinating food/catering for plant events & visitors, while ensuring receipts are submitted in timely manner. Implement and administer policies and procedures consistent with Corporate and Plant guidelines to ensure consistent and fair administration. Maintain all confidential documents, records, and employee files. Other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent 6+ months of previous experience with training and/or onboarding 1 year of experience in Human Resources 1 year of previous administrative or customer service experience No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree from an accredited institution (completed) Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (completed or enrolled in) 1+ years of experience in training and/or onboarding 2+ years of experience in Human Resources 2+ years of experience in administrative or customer service experience Bilingual (English & Spanish) Experience in Talent Acquisition Experience in project management or event planning Experience in employee engagement Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to effectively interface with production, customer service, and management. Position Requirements: Previous computer experience in Microsoft Office Suite Strong communication, time management, attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to read, write & verbally communicate in English. Ability to work with limited or no supervision. Physical Demands: Long periods of sitting Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company policy and procedure Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas) Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity Why work at Eaton?
