It has been agreed that our AstraZeneca UK Commercial head office will move from Luton to Pancras Square, London in early 2022. This role will be initially based in our Luton office, until this move takes place.

Our move to Pancras Square offers us the strongest possible platform to transform the lives of patients in the UK, as the country’s leading biopharmaceutical company. It will bring AstraZeneca UK closer to our customers, partners and stakeholders in the UK’s healthcare environment, as well as foster greater collaboration with the wider AstraZeneca footprint.

Business Area

Our Oncology Business is responsible for driving growth and maximising the commercial performance of the global oncology and haematology portfolio within AstraZeneca.

Here we play a key role in driving launch and commercial effectiveness. It’s an exciting opportunity to get our medicines to market, work with cutting-edge science and be involved in the next big thing.

What you’ll do

As Training & Development Manager for the Haematology franchise, you will support the strategic planning and deliver the tactics required to design, measure and grow the capability and development across the franchise teams. You will manage, consult and coordinate a programme of training that develops the skills, knowledge and capability of the cross-functional therapy area teams in line with the relevant brand development plans.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To design, develop and deliver industry leading disease, therapy and brand knowledge induction programmes
  • To design, develop and deliver industry leading capability building and continued development programmes
  • To identify and build capability aligned to Global guidance for the cross-functional franchise teams
  • Ensure compliance with all AstraZeneca UK Governance Frameworks and ABPI.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Excellence in coaching
  • Excellence in leading and facilitating training and development in a local team
  • Pharmaceutical sales experience

Desirable

  • Training and Development experience in the secondary care environment
  • Advanced communication and influencing skills
  • APBI qualified
  • Marketing experience
  • Pharmaceutical Sales Management experience (First Line)
