Training Specialist – Learning Management System


The Training Specialist - LMS is responsible for the administration of the Cornerstone Learning Management System. This person will serve as the subject matter expert for the Learning Management System (LMS) administration and will be responsible for direct oversight of the management of user migration and management, course upload and testing, portal and/or reporting customizations, and related processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and control of access levels for Learning Admin security
  • Set up and maintenance of specified user groups
  • Set up, maintenance, and control of instructor led training, virtual instructor led training and elearning
  • Design and develop ecommerce functionality
  • Provide LMS training and support to all levels of LMS users.
  • Coordinate with vendor, users and Kohler training and development staff to oversee enhancement efforts and system upgrades—including tracking system bugs, application issues, and manage the configuration and implementation of LMS upgrades and relevant improvements.
  • Perform regular LMS quality assurance checks to ensure proper system functionality, courseware deployment, testing/certifications, and data communication in the development environment and post-production environment. Research and resolve LMS functionality issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with LMS vendor and content providers to research and resolve issues related to the LMS that are reported by the end user, vendor(s), license users and/or administration issues related to the LMS.
  • Develop, manage and enforce LMS content publication and data governance standards including, but not limited to, course nomenclature (character limits), process adherence, user permissions and role designation, versioning and archiving.
  • Manage LMS system communications (emails, Pop-ups, alerts, releases) promoting a user experience focus.
  • Review and assist in the update and creation of requirements documents, test plans, report database interface, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manuals. Update existing and develop new learning management system (LMS) training and support materials to site license admins and end-users
  • Create, write and compile reports utilizing various report writing tools and technologies
  • Create and maintain course evaluations for selected LMS offerings
  • Perform all duties required for e-learning content launch, including course upload, testing, assignment, and provide support for internal and third-party course content
  • Develop and maintain system integrations with other company systems

  • Strong experience in Cornerstone On Demand LMS desired
  • Confident and knowledgeable in internet navigation and understanding

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Skills/Requirements


Major of Information Systems Management, Computer Science or Human Resources; A Bachelor degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A minimum of 1-3 years employee development, human resources admin experience, LMS administration or LMS implementation consulting required, or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Prior experience with learning management systems; prefer experience with Cornerstone LMS

Strong customer service background required.
