As part of Intel, the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) is poised to deliver high quality, timely, and differentiating FPGA solutions to our customers. In line with that, PSG is looking for an Application Engineer with expertise in Transceivers, Ethernet, or 5G Intellectual property (IP) to join our dynamic and growing team.

As a Networking and Communication Interfaces IP Application Engineer in the Customer Experience Group, you will be responsible for providing proactive or reactive technical support to Intel PSG customers and sales teams in resolving challenging customer issues for Ethernet and 5G IPs. You will act as the technical subject matter expert to our key customers in helping to resolve the challenges as they go from prototype to production. Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to the following:

• Generate bring up of designs for Transceivers, Ethernet 10G/25G/40G/100G/200G/400G and 5G IPs (CPRI, eCPRI, ORAN, FEC IPs, etc.)

• Highlight protocol IP use models and demonstrate performance to customers

• Create collaterals including protocol IP, user guide, reference designs, and technology demonstration tools

• Collaborate with cross functional teams on issue resolution, protocol validation, and providing feedback on protocol IPs quality and customer experience

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education:

Bachelors' Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of experience with bring up and debug of transceivers, Ethernet, and/or 5G solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters' degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3 years of experience in relevant course work in transceivers, Ethernet, or 5G solution

3+ years of experience in customer support or customer facing role

5+ years of experience with bring up of transceivers, Ethernet, and/or 5G solutions

Experience with FPGA implementations using Quartus or Vivado

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$113,500.00-$170,120.00
