Due to the increased volume of content being created within EMEA, the Translation and Copywriting COE is being established to provide a pivotal role within the central marketing organization. The translation COE team will be responsible for working with teams within the business to deliver high quality transcreation services to internal teams such as Segment Marketing, Business Units, country colleagues and the global Eaton.com website project. The transcreation team will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest of standards. Each transcreator will also be responsible for ensuring Eaton’s brand standards are adhered to from a copy style and tone of voice.The main activity to start will be the technical translation of Eaton's product data, available in English language in our PIM (Product Information System). The key priority will be to create a technical Tranlation Memory to support the automatic translation process in the PIM system and allow proper web sites for Eaton's products like technical Datasheets in multiple languages. Provide highest quality translation, transcreation, subtitling and copywriting support to Eaton’s colleagues in the core languages – EN, DE, ES, IT, FR, NL, PL, RU, RO. Transcreation will be delivered from EN (United States) as source language. Transcreation and copywriting work will include (but not exclusively) writing of brochures, emails, website copy, audio and video copy, technical product data. Be a point of reference for internal stakeholders supporting them in the use of the translation platform Globallink Delivery of transcreation and copywriting projects following internal workflow processes and using business platforms that exceed internal stakeholder expectations. Working directly with internal stakeholders to deliver transcreation and copywriting projects. Implement changes made by content reviewers taking care of choerence and style. Develop, improve and maintain the Eaton’s terminology resources in the language of competence Maintain and improve the existing translation memories, create new translation memories for technical attributes. Ensure the implementation of SEO keywords in marketing material Collaborate with the translation marketing team leader, project managers and CSO to organize the workload and the translation requests of the internal clients. Act as brand guardian being responsible for maintenance and improvement of Eaton’s style guide in the target language in collaboration with local country teams and central marketing Execute random Data Quality spot checks for published web sites to search pro-actively for improvement areas Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (BSC/BA), technical degree is a plus 1-3 years experience in translation or transcreation English language knowledge minimum C1 level, Local/Native Language Capabilities according to the team's scope Good understanding of electrical products and applications to support the translation of the technical content from English.CAT tools: Globallink / Wordfast preferred or other, experience with terminology management tools, theory of translation Attention to detail, reliable, ability to be self-directed, customer focused, team player, excellent organisation skills, excellent writing and communication skills JD attached Job: Marketing Region: Europe, Middle East, Africa Organization: ES EMEA Sales and Marketing Central Job Level: Individual Contributor Schedule: Full-time Is remote work (i.e. working from home or another Eaton facility) allowed for this position?: Yes – Hybrid Does this position offer relocation?: No Travel: No
