We are looking for an experienced Transformation Programme Manager either on a 6 month fixed term contract or as a Direct Contractor to support the Enterprise Leadership Team shape and deliver a pan-enterprise productivity/process re-engineering programme of work.

The person would have a specialist skill set to drive business process reengineering and improvement (BPR/BPI), ensuring deep understanding of the business opportunities end to end and be able to step back to re-define the process (zero based reengineering) and identify the right process to automate and/or eliminate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders to perform in-depth end to end business and specific area diagnostics, providing a recommended road map for delivery opportunities.
  • Clear articulation and presentation to target audiences (including executives) to ensure understanding of concepts and approaches as well as enable decision making.
  • Support the success of a high-performing organization by helping to champion process improvement practices and culture.
  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement programs and tools and Champion process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean) by partnering with functional teams to share continuous improvement best practices.
  • Responsible for the delivery of complex projects that make up a program including managing the end-to-end delivery of large inter-connected projects across applications, infrastructure and business by working with onshore and offshore stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition and embedment into business as usual.
  • Leads the facilitation of ‘big room planning’ and end to end business delivery prioritisation to develop road map of priorities with the business including sequencing to deliver iterative value.
  • Early identification and addressing of delivery issues, risks and dependencies across the program as well as strong risk in change disciplines achieved to ensure smooth transition to business without inefficiencies or costs incurred post-delivery.
  • Monitors overall progress of the program, with focus on budgets, key milestones, portfolio delivery sequencing management and inter-dependencies.
  • Ensures financial rigor through challenging costs to ensure strong financial control of delivery costs across the program.
  • Supports and coaches project managers, business analysts and business stakeholders.
  • Develop and present concepts/information in an appropriate manner to the target audience (including executives) to enable strategic decision making and/or program momentum.
  • Be an active leader and advocate to help people understand how each project helps achieve AIA’s strategic plan and our broader purpose to make a difference in people’s lives.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties assigned by your Manager in order to meet other requirements.

About you:

  • Proven leadership experience designing and running automation and AI functions using modern technology solutions, delivering positive outcomes for business and customers.
  • Proven experience in applying lean six sigma to large corporates with proven positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrated track record of re-engineering business processes end to end and driving adoption across an organisation/department.
  • Entrepreneurial/innovation mindset/approach.
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Information Systems disciplines or Business.
  • Accredited in Lean, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Agile Certification is desirable.
  • Experience in developing and providing training in lean tools and methodologies.
  • Significant experience in leading business diagnostics to identify end to end opportunities and working with business stakeholders to prioritise yearly strategic road map.
  • Previous experience as a trusted advisor with a successful track record in building and maintaining strong relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to consult, coach and influence at all levels within the organization to embed new skill capability and change in mindset and approach to continuous end to end improvement to achieve desired organizational outcomes.
  • Flexible, innovative, hard-working and detail-oriented with passion for delivering outstanding service.
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal & written.
