Translation Intern - Finland

We are looking for Translator Interns to join our Finnish Language Office for a remote 3-months fixed-term contract for Summer 2022 (May-August).

The Internship is designed to provide an introduction to professional translation and allow translators to grow key linguistic and coordination skills as they begin their careers in the localisation industry. The programme will offer training modules in translation, review and machine translation post-editing, as well as full instruction in the use of some of our key technology solutions and valuable guidance on achieving a successful career in translation.

Main Duties:

• Producing quality translations within given deadlines from English into Finnish
• Coordinating translation tasks in collaboration with team members, project managers and freelance translators
• Understanding and following linguistic processes and procedures
• Providing full linguistic support for your colleagues
• Review work of other in-house and external translators
• Using the translation tools, timesheet and work scheduling systems efficiently

Essential requirements:

• Native-level Finnish and excellent English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member
• Ability to quickly learn to use new tools and to follow instructions
• Efficiency and strong organizational skills
