Meltwater’s Client Insights team is the vital function which is designed to empower our clients in China. By handling various sources of data, CI team helps our clients to uncover insights and gather analytics in the market which they are operating in. We deliver intelligence reports based on our analysis of different media outlets and social media. We help to analyze media impact, draw out trends and deliver that analysis to our client. We are proud of ourselves for being a true partner in our client's business.

About Translator

As a Translator, you will be responsible for translating and summarizing information for our clients across China, with the opportunity to work on insight-based reports (on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis).

Having the opportunity to work with all the Meltwater's clients, you will be able to get a glimpse of the very first-hand news in multiple industries, including local state-owned companies and large multinational firms. Also, you will always be in market trends and staying abreast in the digital market arena!

Internally, you will be working with Media Analyst and Client Success team closely to identify clients’ needs and provide best in class service to ensure clients are well aware of their “Outside Insights”. From tracking impact and sentiment analysis in real time to having an insight about the competitors’ online footprint, we help our clients to understand the bigger picture and their industry as a whole.

What we would like to see from you

? University Degree, Master preferred. Major in Translation or English Literature

? Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse set of clients and colleagues, at all levels

? Fluency in English & Mandarin (spoken and written)

? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with proven time management skills and ability to prioritize work under minimum supervision and tight deadline

? Great attention to details

? An inquisitive mind and interest in media and business

? Previous Translation related work experience would be considered as an asset, but not required

? International experience is a plus
