RWS Division:

RWS Regulated Industries division:  provides a full suite of language services exclusively for highly regulated industries such as Life Sciences, Healthcare, Financial services, and Legal industries.  This includes language solutions for clinical trial management and linguistic validation of Clinical Outcomes Assessments (COAs), insurance, retail, commercial and investment banking, compliance, mergers & acquisitions and Litigation.

About The Role:

RWS located in Hradec Králové has vacancies in its Intern Programme for Translator Interns. Applicants must offer translation from English to Czech.

This paid internship will run for a fixed term of 4 weeks and is designed to provide an introduction to professional translation and allow translators to grow key linguistic and commercial skills as they begin their careers in the localisation industry. The programme will offer training modules in translation, review and machine translation post-editing, as well as instruction in the use of some of RWS’s key technology solutions and valuable guidance on achieving a successful career in translation. For candidates who successfully complete the internship, there may be an opportunity to take up a permanent position.

Due to the Covid-19, this internship will be performed fully remotely, no need to come into our office in Hradec Králové, you just need to be based in Czech Republic.

 

Requirements:

• Degree-level education in the applicable language
• Excellent Czech language skills
• Excellent English language skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good written/verbal communication
• Flexibility and ability to work to a deadline
• Ambition and a desire to learn and progress
• Good Microsoft Office and Internet skills

 

 Responsibilities:

• Translating various documents from English into Czech
• Linguistic checking of files in their final format
• Producing quality translations within given timeframes
• Understanding and following RWS’s linguistic processes and procedures
• Using the required translation tools
• Managing your time effectively
