Eaton’s Electrical Tripp Lite Business is currently seeking a Transportation Coordinator to join our team. This position is based at our Woodridge, IL location. Relocation assistant will not be provided. Pay: $21/hour Benefits (Medical, Dental, & Vision) 401K (6% total match; 4% at 100% and 2% at 50%) Vacation (Two Weeks Starting Out) The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for administering transportation in the Shipping Department. Daily activities include identifying consolidation opportunities, quoting, scheduling, documentation and freight bill exception auditing and approval. In this function you will: Coordinating and scheduling daily transportation needs Summarize shipments for carriers picking up multiple orders Ensuring high service levels on tendered shipments (tracking and monitoring to delivery) Fielding internal customer service requests and inquiries Rate-shopping non-standard shipments for best cost/service alternative Rate-shopping non-standard orders for sales quotation/bid purposes Reconciling non-matching A/P invoices Shipping/Receiving consumables purchasing (PO Administration) Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers and external customers/vendors Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Attention to detail and accuracy Time management, multi-tasking, ability to perform under pressure Verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Transportation experience within a large warehouse Experience with tracking shipments within a database Communicating with customers on orders and payment processing What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
