JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the supervisor of Transportation. Transportation Coordinator for GFS will be responsible for ensuring on time delivery of store fixtures, store supplies, marketing items through timely and meticulous follow up and tracking. This role will offer support to the company’s Business Environment and Indirect Procurement team by effectively communicating with customers and our nominated forwarders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage the international transportation of Store fixtures, store supplies, shoe care - Ex Montreal and Netherland DC and Suppliers

2. Daily communicate with Canada and Netherland team in both phone and emails

3. Prepare Performa Invoices and generate Invoice draft in system

4. Track the system if goods are ready to ship

5. Place bookings with Aldo nominated freight forwarders.

6. Coordinating shipments with FR freight forwarders, request and provide Export Declaration, Free Trade Agreements and other necessary docs (MSDS, DG DECs) for countries that pick up from DC.

6. Update milestones in the system.

7. Validate invoices

8. Manage exceptions and solve problems occurring during booking and transportation.

9. Maintain shipping record and provide regular data analysis report of shipping performance and shipping cost

KEY REQUIREMENTS

College Degree or above.

Be flexible to work for 5-5.5hours in the afternoon and 2.5-3 hours in the evening (can be working at home)

2+ years’ experience in international transportation management.

Good verbal and written English communication skill

Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem solving and planning skills.

Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

Self-motivated with critical attention to detail.

Freight Forwarder working experience is a plus
