Responsible for forecasting the cash and liquidity needs and processing cash activities to ensure sufficient cash to meet operational needs and the compliance with AIA investment policy and statutory and regulatory requirementsRoles and Responsibilities:
Ensure strict compliance to governance requirements and controls aligned and as stipulated in AIA and local policies.
Ensure that Treasury activities are carried out in a manner consistent with the highest professional, ethical, moral and legal standards.
Produce daily cash positions and cash flow projections, including the review and validation of movements in liquidity stress tests and currency liquidity positions for use by Treasury senior management.
Provide analysis and recommendation on investment, borrowing, and foreign exchange strategies to ensure financial risks and opportunities are identified and addressed. Establish a strong process and control framework to ensure that approvals for front office transactions are executed, accounted for, completed accurately, efficiently and on time.
Perform analytics to ensure the accuracy of management information and reporting and to ensure the Treasury team is aware of key changes in funding and liquidity position.
Propose and, if approved, implement new process improvements. Build and manage positive partnership relationships with banks to negotiate favorable terms for AIA and with internal stakeholders, including Investment Management.
Collaborate with Premium Collection Team, Claims Teams, A/P, Investments, IACOE, and Finance to support cash management initiatives with the goal of producing a more accurate forecast and managing cash to “fully invested” parameters.
Prepare and/or update documents that are required by the bank/non bank collection partners
Required Education & Experience:
- At least 3 to 5 years experience in Cash Management
- Deep understanding of various sources of cash flows within the business unit, including SAP generated sources (A/P, A/R, Banks, FAM / Investments) and non-SAP generated sources (Premium, Claims, Commissions, etc.)
- Knowledge in statutory requirements for insurance companies
- Understanding of the key drivers/ stakeholders that impact treasury strategies
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Diploma in finance or related fields
- Certified Treasury Professional, or equivalent certifications, is preferred
