We seek to hire several Truck (Bogie) Shop Technicians responsible for overhauling locomotive trucks from customers across North America. This newly formed team will collaborate with the Overhaul Supervisor in Orlando, FL, and will work the first shift, Monday-Friday. What your day-to-day will look like: Undertake all aspects of overhaul maintenance of Siemens locomotive trucks to meet the production plan requirements. Removal, inspection, and fitment of Truck components per Siemens work instructions. Re-profiling of Train wheelsets when required using a brand-new wheel lathe machine. Use pressure washers to pre-clean trucks before inspection. Safe Movement of Locomotive trucks using overhead Cranes and lifting devices. Assist the warehouse team in collecting spares and materials from stores. To thrive in this role, you have: Relevant experience within a predominately mechanical environment with some electrical working knowledge. Crane /forklift experience desired. Experience in documenting actions and operations accurately. Good knowledge and understanding of tool control, Torque wrenches, measuring equipment, and PPE as appropriate Ability to understand and interpret relevant technical publications Ability to produce detailed technical reports.
