The Truck Driver and Warehouse Material Handler is part of the Warehouse team and performs all warehousing functions safely and compliantly to fulfill warehousing operations at the site and delivery destinations. This job implements productive processes that support cGMP guidelines. This position also requires meeting requirements for compliance with all local, state, and DOT regulations, and to comply with those regulations while performing their assigned duties.

Essential Responsibilities:

Be safe by always using proper PPE per JHA or company procedures, ensure proper safety practices are in use, and identify any safety risks.
Always operates Company motor vehicles professionally and safely in compliance with all local traffic laws, state rules and regulations, and DOT regulations.
To perform both pre-trip & post-trip inspections of each vehicle operated, and to report both verbally, and in writing, any potential safety/mechanical issue to area manager or Designee immediately.
Follows any special instructions given orally, or in writing, by area manager or Designee and determines the best sequence to deliver their assigned stops, and to complete their workload in the most efficient manner, while meeting customer requirements.
Ensures all material on their assigned route is accounted for, and their paperwork is correct.
Ensures that the vehicle is properly placarded, loaded, and all material and equipment is always secured from movement, and in compliance with DOT regulations.
Comply with company safety policies and procedures in the warehouse. Bring potential safety issues to the attention of the area Manager or designee.
Accurately perform material handling processes required to receive and store raw materials and finished goods.
Accurately perform order picking functions and prepare orders for transfer to company manufacturing locations including required shipping manifest.
Execute all required ERP transactions accurately.
Work to continually improve the productivity of loading of truck, routing management and truck maintenance.

Education

High School Diploma

Experience

More than 2 years of experience in warehousing and material handling
Experience using warehouse ERP systems
HAZMAT shipping experience desirable
Have a “Customer Service” approach to relationships with internal and external associates

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Ability to effectively interact with other disciplines within the Company such as Manufacturing, Quality and Procurement.

Physical ability to perform materials handling responsibilities including sitting, standing, bending, lifting/carrying up to 50lbs, walking, pushing/pulling, driving a forklift, and operating other warehouse equipment.
