Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS) was launched in March 2019. As Tsinghua Universitys only branch campus, Tsinghua SIGS is a strategic integration of the former Tsinghua Graduate School at Shenzhen (GSST) and the Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute (TBSI).
Tsinghua SIGS aims to solve the major regional and global problems in science and technology and social development through international collaborations, and to nurture the next generation of global leaders. It is committed to promoting economic and social development in Shenzhen, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, and beyond.

Tsinghua SIGS is now looking for an English Media Officer to support the Public Relations Department. The following qualifications will be considered.

Responsibilities:
Build and maintain Tsinghua SIGSs English website;

Write, edit and proofread English language news;

Maintain and operate our overseas social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, etc);

Edit and proofread English promotional materials, including brochures, pamphlets, and videos;

Liaise with overseas media; handle media inquiries and interviews; and carry out reputation monitoring and management;

Prepare speeches and press releases for publicity functions;

Organize overseas PR events and publicity campaigns for Tsinghua SIGS.

Requirements:
Excellent written and spoken English across a variety of registers and contexts;

Bachelors degree (or higher) from a recognized university, with Public Relations, Journalism, Communications and related disciplines being preferred;

A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable in a bilingual and multicultural work environment, capable of multi-tasking, able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure, creative and dynamic;

Additional preference will be given to applicants possessing relevant work experience, a background in higher education administration, and demonstrated proficiency in Mandarin.
