Job Summary:
Providing a secondary service to guests; with offerings to enhance guest satisfaction and enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep
Primary Duties:
• If room is occupied; ensure that all dirty towels are replaced, wipe down shower & sink if used, empty trash bins, replace any items or amenities used in the room, organize guest items properly
• Whether room is vacant or occupied; black out curtains need to be closed, radio needs to set to 91.5 at volume 30, bottle of water and chocolate are to be placed on the night stand, 1 light by the bed is to be turned on, dim the lights in the bathroom, place slippers by the bed, double the comforter at head in preparation for sleep
• Report to the office if room does not look as though it was not serviced so that service can be given
• Make sure that turndown basket with water is brought inside the room with the attendant
• Always place ‘in the room’ sign on the door
• Respect and follow, the policies and procedures regarding not opening the door for any guest when encountering on the floors
• Able to communicate when the houseman on duty to ensure that closets are continually supplied with towels as well as water
• Not to fill the basket completely with water due to the weight in order to avoid injury
Secondary Duties:
• Report any room deficiencies through HotSos
• If scheduled until 10p; once turndown has been completed, office needs to be advised and a small project is assigned between 9p and 10p
• Assist in folding washcloths
• Assist in preparing rags and chemical bottles that will delivered by houseman
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
• Able to communicate in English with both guests and ambassadors
• Be organized
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of chemicals
• Be a team player
