To find out more about us check: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baa_aiJ4L7E In this role, you are responsible for managing the team who provide the highest levels of pre and post sales 3 phase technical support including software and connectivity to both internal and external stake holders. Liaising with our major customers on a technical level and completing technical paperwork and reports. Your main responsibilities: Provide highest level of technical support, both to customers, within the office and to the field, responding to enquiries in a timely manner. Managing the team who provide support by e-mail, telephone and site visits, to engineers and customers alike. Act as initial escalation point to the Technical Manager. Acting as part of FAST Engineering team. Complete technical reports. Write Method Statements. Compile and provide analysis of impedance test results. Create reports from Salesforce for management as and when requested. Build relationships with customers and attending meetings as required. Provide Sales with pre and post sales technical support. Provide software and connectivity support for 3 phase products. Maintain links with Finland and the USA technical support organizations. Work with Operations to ensure that the BOM for spares kits is suitable for the associated product; also provide advice on minimum stock holdings for service spares. Take ownership of spare parts is in line with the company directive on volume and value Maintain 3 phase parts matrix. Maintain accurate records. Provide metrics to monitor support functions. Publish technical information to Field Service Engineers, internal and external staff as required. Attend internal and external meetings as required by Service Management. Work closely with Service delivery to meet with customers and site visits/escalations as required. Any other ad hoc duties in line with role Support the training manager with any training needs when he is not available. Qualifications Your essential skills we are looking for: HNC, or higher, in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent Minimum 10 years’ experience working on UPS systems Extensive in-depth knowledge of UPS systems. Three phase electrical installation or maintenance experience essential. Good understanding of switch panels and power distribution. High level of understanding of system connection drawings. Comprehensive knowledge of power electronics, rectifiers & inverters. Advanced fault finding techniques. Experience of high voltage battery systems an advantage. Health and Safety training. Overseas travel may be required. Overtime hours may be expected. Fast Support service will be required once every 3 weeks.
