To find out more about us check: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baa_aiJ4L7E As a Senior Accounting Manager for UK and Ireland you will be responsible for all statutory, legal and compliance in Ireland and a large number of entities in the UK. You are also responsible for financial expertise in areas such as accounting (US-GAAP and statutory), audit, compliance, tax and finance training. You are the finance lead responsible for providing technical finance expertise on cross business restructuring activities including acquisitions and dispositions in collaboration with the broader Eaton business teams in Tax, Treasury and Legal. You are responsible for building organizational capability within the Finance team and for providing leadership. You will closely operate with the European finance teams, Eaton Center, Shared Service Centers in Budapest and Pune, Business and Site Controllers and other Corporate departments. Job Responsibilities Manage direct team of four senior qualified accountants and several off shore indirect resources. Provide proactive financial leadership on statutory accounting/audits, corporation and income tax accounting. This includes interaction to audit partner level and with audit teams in Ireland and the UK. Manage monthly US GAAP close. Manage annual budgeting and forecasting process. Provide technical accounting and be a business partner for Eaton wide projects that impact Ireland and UK entities. This includes being the finance lead on restructurings, acquisitions and dispositions. Responsible for simplifying financial structures e.g. legal entities, banking and tax. Ensure the compliance and risk frameworks adhere to local government requirements and internal Eaton policies. This includes SoX sign off and government reporting. Ensure end to end process improvements and simplification opportunities are identified and implemented. Qualifications Education level required Professional qualification/degree in accounting required (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or MBA preferred); Years and area of experience required At least 8 years of relevant working experience. Significant experience in finance/ accounting/ auditing within a multinational company; Strong Technical Accounting Experience (US-GAAP, FRS102), financial reporting, SoX, Tax reporting, consolidation and analysis. Sound practical knowledge of corporate income tax /indirect taxes. Experience of best practice implementation/end to end process improvement in accounting and reporting. Excellent professional presence; proven leadership skills; and building organizational capability. Effective communication and manager of people skills essential. Ability to operate and deliver independently.
