Job Description
Eaton's Electrical Sector, Critical Power & Distrbuted IT (CPDI) division is currently seeking a 3Phase UPS Product Line Manager in Raleigh, NC. The 3PH UPS PLM will drive the strategy, develop integrated solutions, and manage the 3PH product portfolio to meet the various needs of Data Center, healthcare, & C&I markets. The 3PH PLM will manage a team of product and marketing managers responsible for small, medium and large 3PH power quality solutions. The successful candidate will also work closely with other Eaton Electrical organizations to define end to end solutions and drive the growth of Eaton’s footprint in the data center market segment. The 3PH PLM's key responsibilities include: Define and drive execution of Eaton’s large data center solutions strategy to achieve/maintain the #1 market position in the America’s (by driving the strategic/profit plan results). Manage the $263M product portfolio to meet the needs of small and medium datacenter customers. This will include, but not be limited to managing the 9155, 9355, 93PM, 93E, and 9395 product lines. Develop a team of product and marketing managers responsible for product definition, pricing, and promotions to achieve Eaton’s sales goals. Manage the global three phase product roadmaps by working collaboratively with all regions (EMEA and APAC) to bring innovative solutions to the market in a timely manner. Work closely with engineering to execute product roadmap and deliver key products and features to the market in a timely and cost-effective manner. Works closely with operations, sales, and services to deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations. Leads product marketing activities and programs, including product launches, articles and press releases, white papers, trade shows and other marketing activities. Drives product line performance throughout the Americas region and coordinate recovery actions Performs periodic reviews of markets and competitors’ technology, products, and price/cost positions to determine requirements for product enhancements and future product developments, including VOC Drive and execute flow channel strategies that drive increased window to market and win rates. Develop and implement process improvements focused on improving forecast accuracy and operational excellence. Develop and promote new products and programs centered on new vertical markets (ex. industrial and healthcare). Manage and negotiate global account contracts and offerings (ex. Siemens and GE). Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations or other business function from an accredited institution Minimum 5 years previous experience managing direct reports Minimum 10 years of experience in technical marketing, sales, strategic planning, operations or product line management Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Three Phase UPS or Technology Hardware (Servers, Storage, Networking, etc.). MBA Position Criteria Ability to think and act strategically Strong management and cross-functional management capabilities Ability to conduct market research to understand customer needs. Strong data analytics capabilities and ability to manage a product portfolio P&L. Ability to multitask, complete projects with tight deadlines and proven product management experience. Good balance of technical and commercial acumen. Must be experienced in competitive benchmarking of features and price, new product requirement definition, business plan development, value proposition development, new product launch, forecasting Must also be experienced with customer meetings and presentations as well as delivering presentations to large groups.
