Telenav is seeking a highly motivated User Researcher to help define the next generation connected car software experience. In the Automotive team, you will be expected to conduct qualitative and quantitative research in a very fast paced, always changing, environment. You will work closely with product managers, designers and engineers as well as the Silicon Valley based research team to create software that will shape the future of in-vehicle software experience.

Responsibilities:

? Develop and conduct usability tests of vehicle software (in car and in lab)

? Run ethnographic studies to understand user behaviors and needs

? Conduct surveys and be able to analyze quantitative data.

? Conduct all aspects of research alone or work with agencies when needed

? Determine the best research approach for any given problem and execute quickly.

Requirements:

? 3+ years of user research, ideally in an automotive or consumer electronics field

? Willingness to travel to wherever the research needs to be done

? Self-starter, and able to adapt to changing requirements

? Great collaboration and communications skills

? Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques (practice at least two now)

? Ethnography (contextual inquiry training a plus)

? Focus Groups, Usability

? Survey writing (should be familiar with Qualtrics or similar)

? Excellent English and be comfortable using English as your primary business language.

? A positive attitude, open mind, and a desire to collaborate, learn and have fun!

? Understanding foreign culture and languages a plus because we design global products

? English language based education a plus.

? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
