Job Description

Be part of the Platform Application Engineering team, which provides debug support for customer issues found in high end server applications and designs. Through the use of logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and proprietary tools, this position will provide experience in identifying and resolving complex system abnormalities. Position implies the technical issue replication and troubleshooting at Intel laboratory, customer onsite support and remote debug.

Length of the internship: 6 months.

This position is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship.  Intel sponsors individuals for employment-based visas for positions where we experience a shortage of US Workers. These skills shortage roles are typically STEM contributing positions requiring a Master's or PhD degree, or a Bachelor’s degree with three years’ related  job experience.  This position does not qualify for Intel Sponsorship because it is either (1) a non-STEM contributing position, or (2) a STEM position that only requires a Bachelor’s degree and less than three years’ experience.  


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

6+ months of experience in or relevant coursework in the following areas:

  • Computer organization and/or architecture.

  • Computer hardware and software troubleshooting.

  • Hands on experience in basic programming, scripting, operating systems and/or PC assembly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior internship/full-time experience relevant to computer engineering, computer hardware troubleshooting/repair and/or software debugging.

  • Server Systems Hardware Organization and Assembly.

  • Windows and Unix OS deployment.

  • Hands on experience in electronic test and measuring equipment, basic hardware rework.

  • C/C++, Python.

  • Bash, Batch, PowerShell.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
