The Opportunity:
This is a unique opportunity to join the AIA Insurance Risk team to lead a team of 4 Underwriting Governance Managers. In this role, you will be responsible for upholding AIA’s underwriting standards, philosophy and quality assurance through reporting, continuous improvement, and change management.
To do this successfully you will:
- Manage the end to end quality control of underwriting through formal reviews providing written analysis and trend reporting to senior management
- Ensure underwriting guidelines and standards are adhered to
- Coordinate, review and manage all reinsurer audits
- Participate in continuous improvement and change management activities and projects
- Manage the due diligence of new and revised product terms and offerings and technical underwriting training content
Successful applications will demonstrate:
- Experience in the life insurance industry
- Strong leadership and relationship management skills
- Understanding of underwriting philosophy, best practice and guidelines
- Training needs analysis and program development skills
- High level knowledge of product, medical, system and legislation/regulations impacting the life insurance industry
