In this role you'll be leading a team of people that evaluate customer proposals submitted by our vehicle retailers and partners. You’ll also be working closely with the new business and customer service teams. On a daily basis you will:
- Manage a team to ensure they are making responsible underwriting decisions within agreed time standards. Provide regular new business performance updates to management level.
- Champion and drive improvements in productivity and efficiency through continuous process improvement.
- Work closely with underwriting system provider and outsourced contract implementation provider to enhance the service to our customers and retailers.
- Exchange information with credit reference agencies to ensure compliance with Central Bank of Ireland requirements. Highlight potential fraud and money laundering cases.
- Discuss proposals with retailers, partners and internal staff at all levels. Make commercially sound decisions while balancing the need to maximise levels of accepted business.
- Additionally, a key responsibility of the role is to make quick and responsible lending decisions up to an approved limit. Referring higher value cases to UK based credit management team.
- Proven experience within a credit risk analyst position within the financial services sector, ideally as a manager.
- Highly analytical; ability to accurately assess, interpret and evaluate data quickly and the ability to understand and analyse financial accounts.
- Ability to deliver in a time pressured environment and handle multiple high priority tasks.
- Strong communication, influencing and facilitation skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- To act with integrity and embrace the principle of treating our customers fairly.
