Duties and responsibilities:

1. We are looking for an experienced data-driven analyst with ability to take on projects and drive them to a success. You will work in a team responsible for development and risk management of new innovative products and processes;

2. Extract and connect relevant data (Oracle DWH, Hadoop), and analyze it (Excel, Tableau, Python) to understand historical risk performance of our loan portfolio, identify drivers of risk, and help optimize current underwriting strategies;

3. Develop underwriting strategies for new products based on experience from similar products and applicable data from external sources;

4. Closely cooperate with IT, Sales and Finance departments on development of new products – from initial idea, preparing requirement to IT, business case and financial estimation, over testing, deployment, and piloting, to final evaluation and roll-out;

5. Keep track of and follow up on all tasks related to your project, keep alignment with other departments and push the project forward to meet deadlines;

6. Provide regular updates, develop reliable reports, and insightful analyses so that strategic decisions can be made based on your inputs;

7. Guide and develop junior analysts within the team.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or higher degree in Economics, Engineering, Math, Finance, or other quantitative discipline

2. 2+ years of analytical experience involving querying databases, working with large datasets, identifying root causes, and proposing solutions; project management experience a big plus;

3. Proficient in SQL (or other DB language) programing and advanced Excel skills, experience with another programming language (Python, R, Java, C…) a big plus;

4. Track-record of being self-driven and independent problem solver not needing hand holding;

5. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills. Should be willing to get their hands dirty and solve hard analytical problems for the business;

6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive deadlines while ensuring flawless execution;

7. English language on a level that allows reasonable communication with colleagues.
