As the sole associate partner of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) among China's universities, BFSU International Course Centre runs full-time IGCSE and A Level programmes. It is also an AP exams centre authorised by the US College Board and the National Education Examinations Authority (NEEA). By the year 2016, it has established two International Course Centres respectively in Beijing and Suzhou.
The role of the English Teacher is to:
- Conduct curriculum design and development, and compile teaching plans monthly
- Deliver courses
- Report on the progress of students
- Take part in the school’s appraisal programme
- Observe and recording the teaching of others at least twice a month
- Engage in professional development and training activities
- Participate in extra-curricular activities, e.g. the Festival Celebrations and other activities outside normal teaching hours
- Is not permitted to undertake any form of employment outside the school without the written consent
