The shortlisted candidate will be assigned to Government projects to provide on-going system maintenance support to servers and to maintain, enhance and upgrade the existing server infrastructure

Job Duties:

• To be in charge of for the on-going system maintenance support to servers of different hardware
• (including Enterprise grade servers, SAN storages, Fiber Channel switches and etc.) and different operating system platforms (including Windows, UNIX, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V)
• To evaluate impact of server software installation, distribution, patching and updating
• To co-ordinate with application teams, users and vendors for proper scheduling of system installation and maintenance works
• To provide first-line and second-line standby on-call support of servers which may be caused by
• environmental issues, server hardware and/or system software problems
• To assist IT team to handle administration works such as documentation, procurement, hardware/software inventory updating, bill payment and filing
• To supervise junior sub-ordinates in handling the above tasks

Requirement Details:

• Holder of Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 3 years working experience in IT in which a min of 1 year relevant working experience
• Solid knowledge and good technical skill in supporting VMware/Hyper-V virtualization infrastructure,
• Microsoft Windows, Microsoft SCCM, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Veeam Backup and Replication;
• Experience in supporting Microsoft SQL database, Oracle database, Unix (IBM AIX), Linux (Red-hat, CentOS) is an advantage
• Good communication and skills, both written and verbal, in Chinese or English
• Good coordination skills in handling tasks with team members and other parties
