The job holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must report any concerns to the School’s Child Protection Officer/Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head of indeed to the Regional CEO so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third party services.
Objective:
- Responsible for ensuring the smooth running of unaccompanied classes on a day to day basis to ensure that parents and their children experience excellence at every level
- Has oversight of extra-curricular clubs
- Involve in school events, external school fairs and ad hoc projects as allocated by the Head of School/school management
Responsibilities:
- Process all administration related to attendance including actioning transfer, withdrawal and refund requests (DCF & confirmations)
- Management of class and lunch registers – preparation, transfer updates and sign off
- Creating and updating door duty rota
- Coordinate with Head Office on special requests like freeze fees and follow up on outstanding fees initially
- Prepare attendance verification letters and Report reprint request
- Assist Head of School with staff cover allocation (daily absence / leave)
- Liaise with Head of School on staffing issues such as late arrivals, inappropriate dress, use of phones, etc
- Liaise with Head of School on class / staff allocation and creation
- Respond to parents’ enquiries, queries and initial complaints from current parents
- Conduct ad hoc school tours if Admissions Team are unavailable (e.g. immediately after trial class)
- Organize field trips including class / staff allocations and transportation (liaise with Lead Teachers)
- Manage extra-curricular clubs including club suggestions / allocations, set up, promotion and administration
- Manage and keep staff attendance and leave records, issue / record staff access cards; update monthly staff salary sheet for Head Office
- Organize Summer Fun/Camp Programme and specific events with the management team
- Preparation for visits by government departments (EDB, Health and etc)
- Perform any other tasks / assignments or projects assigned relevant to the role
Requirement:
- Diploma or Degree level qualification
- Experience in Education is preferred
- Proficient in English and Mandarin preferred
