Job Description
Eaton’s Corporate division is currently seeking a VAT Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Mexico City Office. The VAT Analyst is responsible for provides support to the Indirect Tax Center of Excellence (CoE) for Latin American excluding Brazil (all Spanish speaking countries) and reports to Indirect Tax CoE Supervisor. Prepare, analyze, submit, reconcile & archive VAT returns and VAT refunds request and all of its working papers. Also, VAT advisory and compliance processes. The VAT COE supports Eaton companies in preparing, reviewing and submitting VAT returns and VAT Refunds requests in an optimal and compliant way for Latin America (Spanish speaking) region covering 15 countries and territories with more than $3,5 billion of sales and a VAT liability of $560MM. Some activities related with the position will be: Collaborate with the operating finance teams to collect the necessary financial information needed to prepare the Value Added Tax returns associated with the operations. Collect data and analyze monthly ERP VAT reports (AR, AP, GL) and collects documentation (import declarations, invoices and other purchases and sales documentation) to document favorable VAT balances. Analyze VAT reports, Import Declarations, Journal Entries and perform reconciliations. Prepare and submit VAT returns, VAT refund requests & additional indirect tax informative returns as DIOT. Support VAT refunds additional information requirements from Tax Authority. Assist in electronic archiving of all documents for VAT and other indirect tax returns.
