The VDC Workshop and Warranty Manager manages the repair activities of the mechanical and workshop repair shops ensuring BMW Group repair standards are maintained as well as ensuring the work performed is appropriately accounted for regarding the billing methods/cost centers.


Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Manage and prioritize the daily workload in the workshop and quick repair shop, ensuring that all available labor is appropriately assigned work.
  • Support the processing of units in the Accessory area, ensuring that resources are appropriately assigned.
  • Manage the maintenance and functionality of Technical diagnostic equipment.
  • Support the reporting of Technical quality issues to BMW Manufacturing Plants and Transportation (via QADs).
  • Schedule and maintain Technical training for all repair technicians.
  • Coordinate the assignment and completion all technical campaigns required by the VDC as published by BMW AG and BMW NA.
  • Ensure accuracy of all Warranty and Cost Center billing.
  • Coordinate any necessary repairs or maintenance to the VDC with appropriate internal / external partners.

Preferred

  • Associate’s Degree
  • Prior experience as a BMW master Technician.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs, DCSNet, TQC, PuMA, and KSD applications.
