At Lenovo we are currently seeking applications for an VMware Cloud Developer. You will implement and enhance a new Lenovo/SAP on premise cloud offering. As such, you have the unique opportunity of being part to shape a new cloud offering for enterprise workload. There will be many opportunities to learn about solution design, architectural concepts, and enterprise IT architectures based on VMware. You will also be expected to interact not only with SAP as a partner, but also with our mutual operating systems and virtualization partners like VMware, SUSE, Red Hat, etc. As part of your job role you will work with the architects to implement new features and capabilities into the VMware based cloud stack, and to demonstrate feasibility of new technologies (like adoption of IoT devices, RoCE network protocol, or integration of third party software packages). Organization You will report to Infrastructure Solutions Development Manager supporting customers in EMEA. You will participate in weekly collaborative planning calls and meetings. #### Position Requirements: • This position requires you to be a great team player (interfacing with partners and development teams globally), to work self-motivated, and to tackle different challenges as they come up; • You always wanted to build your own private cloud; • You have a creative, hand’s-on approach to dig into issues that disrupt a full-stack solution; • You like to work with leading edge technologies (both hardware and software); • You know the concepts of REST and you have automated tasks in your previous job role; • You have an inner motivation to understand new technology and make it consumable in enterprise environments; • You want to work in a globally diverse team; • You enjoy working with peers from all around the world; • You have an inner desire for looking to automate things whenever possible; As you are going to work with an existing cloud stack, knowledge of or experience with one or more of the following products are recommended: • Lenovo ThinkSystem server, including Lenovo xClarity Administration suite; • ONTAP storage; • VMware Cloud Foundation, and its REST API; • Overlay/underlay network infrastructure (NSX) with enterprise routing (BGP); • VMware vRealize suite; • MS Active Directory.
