Theideal candidate will provide leadership to enable drug discovery, from targetidentification through preclinical proof-of-concept, and will operate in amatrixed environment that spans across multiple functions. He/she will be arecognized expert in the field of medicinal chemistry with experience indisease fields such as immunology, and/or immune-mediated disorders, preferredin immuno-oncology. The incumbent will have a successful track record in theprogression and transition of programs from discovery to development candidateand in the management of teams and mentorship of staff. The incumbent willoversee the development and performance of the Chemistry department and ensurehigh productivity, growth and technical acumen to achieve current and futuregoals.

Job responsibilities:

1.Lead, design and oversee scientificstudies in support of technical programs.

2.Guide the discovery and optimization oflead compounds, and make a comprehensive analysis to determine the preclinicalcandidate compounds.

3.Provide expertise and leadership in thedevelopment, communication and development strategy in support of product.

4.Track projects dynamics (internal andexternal) and deliver the best solution for the customer.

5.Plan the project pharmaceuticaldevelopment, including milestones, external costs and internal resources needs.

6.Monitor, assess and proactively contributeto implement guidelines and/or scientific and technology trends.

7.Other work related to chemistry researchand development.

Requirements:

1.PhD in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry,Chemical Engineering or closely related to the field (Excellent first degree).

2.More than 10 years of relevantexperiences in medicinal chemistry, especially the experience in the researchcenter of multinational corporations (e.g. CDMO, CRO, Academic).

3.High level of knowledge ofcustomer/business/manufacturing operations applied to the translationrequirements product development objectives/strategies.

4.Excellent organizational,decision-making, human relations, and communication skills; ability to analyzeand resolve problems in a timely manner.

5.Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills (English) and the ability to work in a team environmentwith cross-functional interactions.
