About The Role
Under the general supervision of the Sr. Vice President of Global Sales, the Vice President of Sales Life Sciences NASA is responsible for managing all aspects of new logo and current client growth strategy for Life Sciences on a regional basis including sales plan development and implementation, staff management, and revenue achievement. The position is responsible for the day to day management of sales activity ensuring alignment and execution across all teams.
Essential Functions
- In conjunction with the Sr. Vice President of Global Sales, develops the Life Sciences annual sales plan in support of the organization’s growth strategy and objectives.
- Regularly reviews and updates the Life Sciences sales plan to ensure consistent alignment with Life Sciences goals and objectives.
- Reviews, analyzes, determines and engages in sales and management activities to effectively implement and execute the annual sales plan.
- Effectively manages the Business Development team in maintaining a new logo pipeline of revenue to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Effectively manages the Account Management team in maintaining a client development pipeline of revenue to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Ensures Account Management team compliance and accountability with all aspects of account management team methodology including but not limited to Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Monthly Account Plans and Quarterly Account Reviews.
- Works closely with Operations to ensure targeted gross profitability margins are achieved and maintained.
- In cooperation with the RFP Administrator, manages the Sales team participation in Request for Proposal (RFP) and related opportunities.
- Ensures on-going client satisfaction targets are met. Actively manages and prioritizes all opportunities to enhance client relationships.
- Provides marketplace surveillance on targeted key clients and monitors the competitive landscape providing updates to the Leadership Team.
- Provides leadership and coaching to direct reports in creating effective presentations and preparing for client pitches and meetings. May lead client or other presentations when required.
- Develops an intricate knowledge of Life Sciences products and services and demonstrates those benefits to others with a view on industry leading trends and market development.
- Maintains Knowledge of the competitive landscape and ability to articulate growth vision to the management team in a clear and efficient manner.
- Understands and adhere to company Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Supervises, sets performance standards, and evaluates assigned personnel for the purpose of ensuring their department and individual performance objectives are met.
